The AI Capability Framework
One framework. Three phases. One AI-capable organisation.
Step by step, this framework builds internal AI capacity, until your organisation keeps growing on its own, even without us.
The AI Capability Framework has three phases: Awareness (introduction and analysis), Capability Building (your AI Champions learn to apply AI in depth on real work), and Organisation-wide Adoption (that knowledge spreads through the organisation on its own).
When does this framework work?
A good fit for organisations that...
- Want to use AI but don't know where to start
- Want employees to actually use AI
- Want to build internal AI knowledge
- Want to become less dependent on consultants
- Want to integrate AI sustainably
- Want to adopt generative AI structurally, not as a one-off experiment
Less of a fit when...
- You only want to implement one AI tool
- You're only looking for a one-off workshop
- You're looking for software
- You want to fully outsource AI
- You can't free up time for your employees
- You're looking for a ready-made AI solution instead of internal capability
EU AI Act — Article 4
A legal obligation, not a choice.
Since February 2025, Article 4 of the EU AI Act has required every organisation that uses AI to ensure a sufficient level of AI literacy among its staff. Enforcement has applied since August 2026.
The AI Capability Framework wasn't built just to tick a compliance box. It was built to get employees actually using AI, not learning about it once in theory. That's exactly what Article 4 asks for: a demonstrable, structural level of AI literacy, not a one-off info session.
This is not legal advice. Consult a lawyer for your specific situation.
Phase 1
Awareness
What happens?
- We visit the organisation.
- We show concrete AI applications.
- We answer questions.
- We analyse opportunities.
- We show what's already possible today.
Result
After this phase, management knows exactly where AI can make the most impact, which departments have the most potential, and whether this framework is the right next step.
Phase 2
Capability Building
What happens?
3 to 5 AI Champions are selected per department. They don't work on a demo or a fictional case, but on their own, real documents and workflows. They learn to use Claude AI and other leading models so every department works measurably more efficiently: not in theory, but on the work already on their desk today.
What do they learn?
Result
After this phase, your AI Champions can independently recognise and improve processes, without outside help.
Phase 3
Organisation-wide Adoption
What happens?
AI Champions become the go-to person within their department. Colleagues take over their way of working, new employees in turn learn from them. Step by step, AI becomes part of daily operations: not because WDB Lab stays involved, but because the organisation keeps developing itself.
Result
The organisation keeps growing. Even without us.

AI Champions
Why just three people are enough.
An organisation doesn't need hundreds of AI experts. Three to five AI Champions per department are enough: they learn to master AI thoroughly, then guide their colleagues. Knowledge spreads on its own. Not because we impose it, but because colleagues learn from each other.
A future-proof organisation.

Frequently asked questions
Phase 1 (Awareness) is a single visit. Phase 2 (Capability Building) runs for about 4 weeks. From week 6, Phase 3 (Organisation-wide Adoption) begins, which keeps spreading on its own with no fixed end date.
Your AI Champions use Claude AI daily to understand long contracts and reports, write consistently in your house style, and reason carefully about sensitive business information: exactly the tasks where the most time gets lost. Claude AI is currently the strongest model for that. As soon as another model is stronger, we'll work with that instead: we're not a “Claude company,” we simply choose the best tool for the job.
3 to 5 employees per department. Large enough to carry and spread the knowledge, small enough that everyone gets genuinely in-depth guidance.
No. That's exactly what sets us apart: we don't implement AI, we teach your people to do that themselves. After Phase 3, that knowledge stays in your organisation, even without us.
Every AI-capable organisation starts with one conversation.
No obligations. No standard demo. Just an honest conversation about the possibilities for your organisation.
