About us

We believe AI only creates value once people learn to work with it.

No big team.
No impressive numbers.
Just a conviction that emerged after years of watching companies get AI implementation wrong.

Our story

Our experience didn't start with companies. It started with curiosity.

When generative AI first became available, we started experimenting with it, like most people, first for small, simple tasks.

But the more we tested, the clearer it became: AI could do far more than most people realised. We spent hundreds of hours experimenting. Trying new tools. Building workflows that broke again. Starting over, and over.

One conviction remained: AI isn't hard. You just have to learn how to work with it.

Why WDB Lab started

That's when we realised companies had a different problem.

Around us, we saw more and more companies wanting to “do something with AI.” They bought software. Hired consultants. Attended workshops.

But after a few weeks, almost nothing changed. Not because AI didn't work, but because no one had learned how to make it part of their daily work themselves.

That's the moment WDB Lab was born. Not to build AI projects. But to make organisations AI-capable.

Our conviction

We don't believe AI expertise belongs outside an organisation.

The people who work with processes every day understand better than anyone where time gets lost, which tasks are repetitive, where automation is possible. When they learn how AI works, the best solutions emerge naturally.

That's why we don't build dependency on consultants. We build internal AI capacity.

Why we think differently

Why we chose this path

At trainings, seminars and AI events, we kept seeing the same pattern. There was a lot of talk about AI: about trends, about tools, about theory. Almost never about how people actually learn to use AI in their daily work.

That's how we discovered that the biggest challenge isn't the technology. It's knowledge. And that's exactly the gap we want to close. We see it most sharply at Belgian SMEs: companies large enough to want to adopt AI structurally, but too small for their own internal AI department.

Organisation Enablement

Around the core team, WDB Lab works together with specialists in development, design, automation and implementation. That way we combine a personal approach with the expertise every project needs.

Every AI-capable organisation starts with one conversation.

No obligations. No standard demo. Just an honest conversation about the possibilities for your organisation.
